Dutton Ranch Ineligible for Emmys this Year
Emmy voters won’t be saddling up “Dutton Ranch” for any nominations this year, but not because the show doesn’t deserve it. The spin-off of the popular “Yellowstone” series, starring Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly, missed the cut-off date for Emmy eligibility this year by airing only four out of nine Season 1 episodes before May 31. That means fans will have to wait until next year to see if it gets any Emmy love.
The show’s cast, which includes heavy-hitters like Ed Harris and Annette Bening, has a history of award-winning performances. With stars like these, Emmy voters might be eager to recognize the talent on “Dutton Ranch.” Plus, the success of “Yellowstone” and its Golden Globe-winning lead actor, Kevin Costner, could bode well for the new series.
While “Yellowstone” itself didn’t get much Emmy attention in the past, there’s hope that “Dutton Ranch” could celebrate some award nominations in the future. The show has already been renewed for Season 2, so there’s a chance it could be in the running for next year’s Emmys if it airs before May 31, 2027.
