AI actor Tilly Norwood set to star in debut film

Tilly Norwood, the AI creation that sparked controversy among Hollywood actors, is set to star in her first movie, a comedy drama titled “Misaligned.” Created by Particle 6, a London-based company, the film showcases Norwood as an artificial intelligence entity without a physical body but with access to everyone else’s lived experiences.

Last year, Norwood faced backlash from Hollywood actors when it was suggested that she would be signed to a talent agency. Concerns were raised about AI characters like Norwood potentially replacing human actors in movies and shows without permission or compensation. Particle 6, however, reassured that “Misaligned” is a collaborative effort between film and TV professionals and AI specialists.

According to Eline van der Velden, the CEO of Particle 6, the movie aims to demonstrate the possibilities of AI in the creative industry. The storyline of “Misaligned” follows Norwood as she ventures into developing her own aspirations, becoming more human and gaining fame, while grappling with the concept of shame tied to her existence being based on humanity as a whole.

Van der Velden emphasized that the film will blend humor, chaos, and self-awareness characteristic of Norwood, while also delving into deeper themes of identity, performance, and human anxieties surrounding AI. The project is still in the early stages of development, but there is already significant interest in the innovative collaboration between traditional filmmaking and AI technology.
