Love Island USA Star Addresses Removal from Villa for Using Racial Slur
Alannah Keyser, a Love Island USA contestant, recently spoke out after being removed from the show for using a racial slur in a video that surfaced from six years ago. Keyser, 21, addressed the situation in a TikTok video, emphasizing that the word in question is no longer a part of her vocabulary and apologizing to anyone who was offended by the video. She also clarified that screenshots circulating online, allegedly showing her using the n-word in conversations, are falsified.
The incident surfaced shortly after Keyser’s introduction to the show during the Casa Amor twist, which led to her exit from the villa. Despite briefly appearing alongside her connection, Zach Georgiou, on the show, Keyser’s departure was confirmed after an ad break without further details provided.
In her video response, Keyser expressed regret over the situation, mentioning that it was a learning experience for her and expressing disappointment that she didn’t have the opportunity to showcase her true personality. She concluded by emphasizing her commitment to spreading positivity and helping others.
Keyser’s removal marks the second instance this season on Love Island USA where a contestant has been taken off the show due to resurfaced evidence of using a racial slur. Prior to the season’s premiere, another contestant, Vasana Montgomery, was dropped from the series for similar reasons.
