Prison Break: Hulu Reboot Filming Starts Next Month with Recasting

Hulu is gearing up for the start of production on the Prison Break reboot series. The filming is set to begin next month in Los Angeles after scoring a hefty $18.9 million tax credit.

With a reported 63-day production schedule and an estimated cost of around $53.2 million, the series is set to kick off in June. Most of the filming will take place at Radford Studio Center, a historic filming location in LA. Prison Break filmed its pilot in West Virginia last year, but thanks to the tax credit, the showrunner Elgin James will base the production in California instead.

The reboot will star Emily Browning, Lukas Gage, Drake Rodger, Clayton Cardenas, JR Bourne, Myles Bullock, and Georgie Flores. The new series will follow a former soldier working at a prison to free her loved one. Kelli Berglund will be joining the cast, replacing Priscilla Delgado in the role of Cheyenne, a female inmate at the prison.

The premiere date for the Prison Break reboot is yet to be announced. Did you love the original show? Are you excited for the reboot? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
