New Spider-Noir Trailer: Villains Entangled in Web
The friendly neighborhood Spider-Man may be swinging onto the big screen soon, but until then, there’s an exciting way to pass the time. On May 27, Spider-Man comes to the small screen, and it’s not your average Spidey—it’s Nicolas Cage as Spider-Noir.
The first look at the show was already delightful, but the recent trailer released takes things to a whole new level. We get a glimpse of classic Spidey villains, intense action sequences, and a generous serving of film noir elements like femme fatales, rain-drenched scenes, dark shadows, and private detectives. Viewing options include the “Authentic Black & White” version and the “True-Hue Full Color” version. The ongoing debate on which version is better might just add to the excitement.
The new trailer reveals that the show is much bigger than we anticipated, with epic swinging, falling, web-shooting, and all the iconic Spider-Man action. Additionally, classic foes like Sandman (played by Jack Huston from Boardwalk Empire) and Silvermane (played by Brendan Gleeson from Braveheart) make appearances, enticing viewers with the potential of seeing acting powerhouses like Cage and Gleeson in a Marvel film noir showdown.
The anticipation for the rest of the series is building, and it won’t be long until we get to see the full adventure. With showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot at the helm, along with producers Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Amy Pascal, Spider-Noir is set to premiere on Prime Video on May 27.
