Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow Wraps Production

It’s time for the spring of Supergirl as Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has officially finished filming and is now in post-production. The movie started shooting earlier this year and is scheduled to hit theaters on June 26, 2026.

Starring Milly Alcock as Supergirl, the film also features a talented cast including Jason Momoa, Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the story follows a toughened Supergirl raised on a fragment of Krypton in deep space.

Despite some leaked images from the set, the movie is still a year away from release, giving plenty of time for post-production work, potential pick-ups, or reshoots. According to a post on Threads by James, the production of the film has wrapped.

With a planned release just a few weeks after Superman, there’s no news on whether there will be any footage screenings at events like Hall H or SDCC. However, the cast and crew of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow have been hard at work, with writer Ana Nogueira, director Craig Gillespie, and an exceptional supporting cast coming together to bring this unique and thrilling story to life.

Gunn, one of the creative minds behind the project, shared that this film will offer a different perspective on Supergirl, showcasing her tough upbringing and contrasting it with Superman’s more traditional origin story. Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to fly into theaters on June 26, 2026.
