NBCUniversal Channels Dark on Disney-Owned Fubo: Carriage Dispute Impacts Streaming Services

Once again, Disney fans are facing a familiar dilemma as another carriage dispute has hit Fubo, resulting in the removal of NBCUniversal channels. Fubo, which Disney now owns a 70% stake in and recently merged with Hulu + Live TV, had to make the tough decision to remove NBCUniversal content after failing to reach a new carriage agreement before the November 21st deadline.

NBCUniversal claims to have offered fair rates and terms for their channels and sports content, which Hulu + Live TV has accepted. Fubo, on the other hand, believes that the pricing and packaging terms offered by NBCUniversal are significantly higher than those offered to other distributors of similar size. The dispute has also led to NBCUniversal channels not being available on Fubo as of November 21, 2025.

A long list of NBCUniversal channels, including NBC local affiliates, Telemundo, NBC Sports, Bravo, E!, and many more, are currently unavailable to Fubo subscribers. Fubo, which serves around 1.63 million subscribers, has pledged to provide a $15 credit on the next billing cycle for affected users if the NBCUniversal content remains off the platform for an extended period. Cloud DVR recordings of NBCUniversal programming will still be accessible until they expire or are deleted.

It’s worth noting that NBCUniversal recently reached a new carriage deal with Google to avoid a blackout on YouTube TV. Fubo has also faced blackouts with other content providers in the past, and there is currently no set timeline for the return of NBCUniversal networks to the platform.

Despite Disney’s ownership of both Fubo and Hulu + Live TV, Hulu + Live TV does not appear to be affected by this particular dispute. In a similar turn of events, Disney-owned networks previously went dark on YouTube TV due to carriage agreement issues, but a resolution was reached on November 14th.
