King of the Hill Revival Ranks No. 2 in Nielsen Streaming Rankings

The revival of “King of the Hill” on Hulu had a stellar first week, landing as the second most-watched streaming program according to Nielsen. With all 10 episodes of the fourteenth season released on August 4, the show captured an impressive 1.21 billion viewing minutes, with new episodes making up 77% of the total watch time. This surge in viewership earned “King of the Hill” a spot on Nielsen’s top 10 streaming charts for the first time, slotting in just behind the highly popular show “Wednesday.”

For the week, the standout series that topped the charts was “Wednesday,” following the release of Season 2, Part 1 on August 6. Drawing in an astounding 3.75 billion viewing minutes from Wednesday to Sunday, this show claimed the title for the most-watched streaming program of the week, securing the second-largest weekly streaming total of 2025.

In the streaming landscape, “The Hunting Wives” on Netflix took the third spot with 1.2 billion viewing minutes, while “KPop Demon Hunters” came in fourth with 977 million minutes on Netflix. It’s noteworthy that “KPop Demon Hunters” was the most-watched streaming movie for that week, surpassing popular titles such as “The Pickup” and “Happy Gilmore 2.”

“Bluey” maintained its presence in the top 10, earning 776 million viewing minutes on Disney+, securing the fifth position. Other regulars like “Spongebob Squarepants” and “Grey’s Anatomy” also continued to draw in viewers, each amassing 675 million minutes.

The week also saw substantial viewership for “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” which released Season 3, Episode 5 on August 6. This Prime Video series raked in its highest weekly total since returning on July 16, notching up 665 million viewing minutes, placing it in the tenth spot on the overall streaming list and fourth on the streaming originals list.
