MSNBC to Rebrand as MS Now and Drop Peacock Logo

MSNBC is making some big changes later this year as it rebrands to MS NOW and says goodbye to its iconic peacock logo. The network is breaking away from NBC News as most cable channels move to a new company called Versant. This move comes as Comcast approved a $7 billion cable spinoff in November, with NBC, Bravo, and the Peacock streaming service staying with NBCUniversal.

CNBC, on the other hand, will keep its name but will reveal a new logo soon. Despite all the changes, MSNBC, which has been around since 1996, remains the second-highest-rated cable news network. The network plans to focus on serving a progressive audience and holding political figures accountable from both parties.

According to MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler, the network’s new name, MS NOW, emphasizes its commitment to delivering breaking news and top-notch opinion journalism that is based on accurate and well-reported facts. Overall, these changes signal a new chapter for MS NOW as it continues to provide trustworthy news coverage to its viewers.
