Yaya DaCosta and Melanie Liburd to Star in Hulu Comedy Pilot ‘Group Chat’
Yaya DaCosta and Melanie Liburd are set to star in Hulu’s new comedy pilot, Group Chat, along with Rebecca Rittenhouse and Stephanie Suganami, joining previously announced lead La La Anthony. The show, loosely inspired by Anthony’s book “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness,” follows six successful women in their forties navigating life in Los Angeles through their private group chat.
Excitingly, Kim Kardashian, fresh off her upcoming Hulu drama All’s Fair, will narrate the series and make a guest appearance. This marks her first project under her first-look deal with 20th Television. The pilot is executive produced by La La Anthony, Kim Kardashian, and Kenya Barris, with 20th Television and BET Studios collaborating on its production.
With such a strong premise and talented team, Group Chat promises to bring comedy, satire, and some good old-fashioned tea to Hulu viewers. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated show!
