Kenya Barris & Kim Kardashian-Produced Hulu Series ‘Group Chat’ Casts 4 Main Leads
Exciting news for Hulu fans! The upcoming pilot “Group Chat,” produced by Kenya Barris and Kim Kardashian, has just announced its four leads, joining the already confirmed La La Anthony. The talented cast includes Yaya DaCosta, Melanie Liburd, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and Stephanie Suganami.
Inspired by Anthony’s bestseller “The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness,” the show is a satirical comedy that delves into the lives of six successful women in their forties who appear to have it all in LA. But, as we all know, things are never quite as they seem, especially when secrets are shared in their group chat.
While details about the characters are still under wraps, we do know that the pilot was picked up by Hulu in 2024 as part of a first-look deal with 20th Television. With Barris and Kardashian at the helm, along with Adam Kassan, viewers can expect a hilarious and juicy series.
Each of the lead actors brings their own impressive resume to the table. DaCosta, known for her roles in “The Lincoln Lawyer” and “Chicago Med,” is joined by Liburd from “This Is Us” and Rittenhouse from “Four Weddings and a Funeral.” Suganami, who stars in A24’s “Opus,” adds another layer of talent to the mix.
With Kardashian also set to narrate and guest star in the show, fans can expect an extra dash of star power. So mark your calendars, Hulu watchers, because “Group Chat” is shaping up to be a must-watch series!
