Disney+ Cancels Goosebumps After 2 Seasons
Sad news for fans of the horror anthology series, “Goosebumps”—Disney+ has decided not to renew the show for a third season, according to Variety. The series, based on the beloved R.L. Stine book series, first premiered on the streaming platform back in October 2023 with 10 episodes released weekly.
Season two followed suit with eight episodes all dropping at once in January 2025. Although Disney+ won’t be continuing the series, Sony Pictures Television, the show’s producer, is reportedly exploring other options for the show and considering different directions it could take.
Despite the cancellation, “Goosebumps” managed to accumulate an impressive 75 million viewing hours in the United States. So, it seems like there is definitely still a lot of love for the spooky stories inspired by R.L. Stine’s iconic books.
While we’ll have to say goodbye to “Goosebumps” on Disney+, fans may have something new to look forward to in the future if the series finds a new home. Fingers crossed for more thrilling tales in the realm of R.L. Stine’s eerie universe!
