XI Notes: BIMBO Union vs Houston Dynamo | Philadelphia Union
The Philadelphia Union is hitting the field again this weekend as they face off against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday night. The game kicks off from the Lone Star State at 8:30 PM ET, and you can catch all the action on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
Head Coach Bradley Carnell has made some changes to the starting XI for this match compared to Wednesday’s game against CF Montreal. Four homegrown players are starting tonight for the Union, which ties for the most homegrown players to start a league match this season.
Goalkeeper Andrew Rick is making his 10th start of the 2025 MLS season, with his last game being on June 25th against the Chicago Fire where he earned a clean sheet. Defender Frankie Westfield returns to the starting lineup for his 15th start of the season, his first since May 31st at FC Dallas. Team captain Alejandro Bedoya is making his 223rd league start for the Boys in Blue tonight, his first appearance since June 29th against Columbus Crew SC.
Midfielder Jesus Bueno is also making his first start since the Columbus Crew match. Homegrown player Jeremy Rafanello is getting his second start of the 2025 season and the sixth of his career, while forward Mikael Uhre is starting for the first time since May 31st at FC Dallas.
