Apple TV+ unveils new hacker drama potentially reminiscent of Mr. Robot

Apple TV+ has dropped its first teaser for Neuromancer, a 10-episode drama based on William Gibson’s 1984 novel. The story follows Case, an elite hacker caught in a web of digital espionage and futuristic crime. Teaming up with Molly, an assassin, they unravel the secrets of a powerful corporate empire in a high-tech underworld setting.

Gibson’s character, Case, is a damaged super-hacker caught between a broken system and his own fractured self, similar to Elliot Alderson from Mr. Robot. The show is created by Graham Roland and JD Dillard, known for their work on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and Devotion, respectively.

Neuromancer, the first book in the “Sprawl” trilogy, helped shape the cyberpunk genre and introduced the word “cyberspace.” The series is produced by Skydance Television, Anonymous Content, and Drake’s DreamCrew Entertainment, making it a prestigious sci-fi addition to Apple TV+.

With Neuromancer joining Apple’s lineup of ambitious series like Severance and Foundation, fans are eager for the official premiere date. Stay tuned for more engaging content from Apple TV+ in the realm of high-tech, futuristic drama.
