FanDuel Sports Network Highlights Regional Game Streaming Subscriber Growth
FanDuel Sports Network, the company behind regional channels for 30 NBA, NHL and MLB teams, is seeing some impressive growth in its streaming subscriber numbers. They now have around 650,000 paid streaming subscribers and they’re aiming to hit one million by the end of the year.
This news comes after the company, owned by Main Street Sports Group, emerged from bankruptcy protection and rebranded from Diamond Sports Group. They’ve been making some big moves to attract more viewers.
The FanDuel-branded networks, which used to be known as Bally Sports, cover 30 teams in the MLB, NBA, and NHL. Since the start of the 2025 MLB season, they’ve been averaging 250,000 unique daily users and about one million unique monthly users. The average watch time per game has gone up by 9% to 92.5 minutes.
One big factor in this growth has been their new streaming deals. They partnered with Amazon Prime Video to make the networks available on their platform in addition to their own apps. And the deal with Amazon isn’t exclusive, so they’re able to pursue other streaming rights deals as well.
In addition to Amazon, they also teamed up with SB Nation and Yahoo Sports to reach even more viewers and boost subscriptions. This partnership includes integration with affiliate links and tune-in messaging within SB Nation’s content, as well as ties to Yahoo’s Sports fantasy community and offers for free trials.
Michael Schneider, the COO and GM of direct-to-consumer at Main Street Sports Group, attributes this growth to their various partners and their efficient acquisition program. He also mentioned that team partners have been helping out with promotional offers on social and digital platforms to drive subscriptions.
David Preschlack, the CEO of Main Street Sports Group, highlighted their mission to reinvent the local sports media landscape and elevate the visibility of their team partners. They’re focused on delivering a new standard for teams and fans, and it seems to be paying off.
While regional sports networks have been facing challenges with pay-TV subscriber losses, FanDuel Sports Network has found a way to adapt and grow in the streaming space. They offer access starting at $19.99 a month for one network and have plans to test lower price points in the future.
Overall, it’s clear that FanDuel Sports Network is making strides in the streaming world and expanding their reach to connect with more fans. With their growing subscriber numbers and strategic partnerships, they’re on track to continue their success in the streaming entertainment industry.
