Weekend Streaming Guide: New Shows and Movies on Netflix, Hulu, Prime …

Looking for something to watch this weekend? From terrifying serial killers to breathtaking acts of heroism, there’s a whole bunch of new shows and movies to check out. October has brought us a fresh lineup of entertainment to stream, with some flicks making their way from theaters to your favorite streaming services.

I had a busy week bouncing between traveling and attending the Call Of Duty event to play the early beta of Black Ops 7—it’s a blast! And speaking of Call Of Duty, I chatted with actor Tom Hopper about his role in Prime Video’s The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. You can catch the interview to dig deeper into his character.

I also shared my thoughts on The Walking Dead in a recent review, and let’s just say, Daryl Dixon continues to baffle me. In other entertainment news, the sentencing of Sean “P Diddy” Combs is on the horizon, along with some controversy around “AI Actress” Tilly Norwood stirring things up in Hollywood.

But enough about that—let’s talk about what’s worth watching this weekend. The “Monster” franchise introduces us to Ed Gein, portrayed by Charlie Hunnam, in a chilling new series. Hunnam takes on a very different role in this dark tale of a serial killer and body snatcher. And remember Blind Melon’s song about Gein? It’s oddly hilarious.

If you’re into mockumentary-style sitcoms, Season 5 of Abbott Elementary on Hulu is a must-watch. I’ve always heard great things about this series revolving around teachers and staff at a Philadelphia public school. Plus, Billy The Kid Season 3 on MGM+ brings more Wild West action to the small screen—I’ll definitely be tuning in.

For history buffs, Elkhorn on INSP delves into the early days of Theodore Roosevelt, offering a Western twist on his pre-presidential adventures. And don’t miss Apple TV+’s The Lost Bus, a gripping drama based on a true story involving a school bus driver and teacher during a California wildfire.

Last but not least, there’s “Steve” on Netflix, featuring Cillian Murphy in a captivating role. Directed by Tim Mielants, this film promises to be a riveting watch. So grab your popcorn, settle in, and enjoy these latest shows and movies now available for streaming. Happy binge-watching!
