HBO Max’s The Pitt Boasts a Realistic Hospital Set for Modern TV Viewing

Katherine LaNasa knows hospitals inside and out. With a father who was a surgeon and guest roles on medical dramas like ER and Grey’s Anatomy, she’s no stranger to medical settings. That’s why it’s worth noting when she praises the realism of the hospital set on HBO Max’s The Pitt. LaNasa, currently starring on the show, says the set is so authentic that it brought back memories of real hospitals for her.

During an ATX TV Festival interview, LaNasa raved about the fully built-out emergency department set, saying, “If you’ve spent any time in the hospital, it’s a little triggering. You’re like, ‘Oh, okay.’ It literally took me a minute to go, ‘This is okay.'” Despite the initial discomfort, she found the experience of working on the set to be rewarding and enjoyable.
