Disney+ Coming Soon: Dolby Atmos and New Streaming Hub on Meta Quest

Meta is making moves to enhance the video-watching experience on its Quest headsets with a brand new streaming hub. The new Meta Horizon TV app aims to bring together content from various streaming services in one convenient spot, much like Google TV or the Apple TV app. When it launches, users can expect to see popular services like Prime Video, Pluto, Dazn, and Twitch featured prominently.

But that’s not all – Meta is also planning to introduce exclusive VR content within the app for a truly immersive experience. In fact, users can look forward to a special 3D clip from the highly anticipated Avatar: Fire and Ash movie in the near future.

In addition to the new streaming hub, one of the most exciting developments for Quest users is the forthcoming Disney+ app. Not only will Disney’s extensive content library be available on Quest, but some of it will also be integrated into the Meta Horizon TV app for easy access.

Mark Zuckerberg himself highlighted the increasing importance of video content in VR headsets during Meta’s recent Connect presentation. While Quest has been successful in the gaming department, there is now a concerted effort to improve the video experience as well.

With initiatives like Dolby Atmos support and plans for Dolby Vision compatibility on the horizon, Meta is signaling its commitment to elevating the video-watching experience for Quest users. So stay tuned for an even more immersive and engaging entertainment experience on your Quest headset in the near future!
