Apple TV+ Price Increase: Steep Hike Notification

Apple TV+ has been knocking it out of the park lately with shows like Severance, The Studio, Slow Horses, and a new season of The Morning Show. But be prepared for a hit to your wallet because Apple TV+ just bumped up its price.

Starting now, the monthly cost of Apple TV+ has jumped to $12.99, a $3 increase from the previous rate of $9.99 per month. That’s a significant 30% price hike, so keep that in mind.

For current subscribers on the monthly plan, the new rate will kick in at their next renewal date. This latest increase follows a previous bump in October 2023, when the service went from $6.99 to $9.99 per month.

Back in 2019, Apple TV+ first launched at only $4.99 a month. Now, Apple attributes this increased rate to the recent success of its ad-free content offerings, according to Variety.

Unlike many other streaming services, Apple TV+ continues to remain ad-free, although rumors have circulated about a potential change. Despite a rocky start, Apple TV+ has found its footing with hits like Severance, The Studio, Slow Horses, and F1, a Formula 1 movie featuring Brad Pitt.

However, not everything is smooth sailing for Apple TV+. There are rumors that Apple might be losing its deal for Friday Night Baseball games to Peacock. Currently exclusive to Apple TV+, this deal might come to an early end if the reports are accurate.

So, while Apple TV+ continues to deliver exciting content, subscribers will need to adjust to the recent price hike. Stay tuned for what’s next on the streaming horizon!
