Bill Belichick UNC Docuseries to Premiere on Hulu After HBO Hard Knocks Negotiations Fail

A docuseries about Bill Belichick’s time at the University of North Carolina before his debut as the Tar Heels football team head coach is set to premiere on Hulu. The exact release date is still a mystery, as reported by Front Office Sports.

The series is being produced by EverWonder Studio, known for projects like the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing event and NFL Christmas Day games on Netflix.

Originally, Belichick and UNC were supposed to be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks, but the deal fell through. This happened after Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, requested content approval and partial ownership of the show, according to the New York Times. Hudson was in discussions with EverWonder about producing the series while negotiating with HBO.

Although we don’t know the official title of the show yet, Troubled Cub Enterprises, Hudson’s firm, has trademarked a few options like “Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version),” “Do Your Job: (Bill’s Version),” and “No Days Off (Bill’s Version),” all with a nod to Taylor Swift.

Hudson gained attention for her 48-year age gap with Belichick and made headlines in June when she interrupted a CBS interview to plug Belichick’s book, “The Art of Winning.” CBS correspondent Tony Dokoupil described her as a “constant presence.” When he asked Belichick how they met, Hudson intervened, saying, “We’re not talking about this.”

Belichick took on the coaching role at UNC in December after his NFL coaching opportunities fell through. His impressive career with the New England Patriots led to six Super Bowl victories, and he also won two Super Bowls with the New York Giants.

Now, Belichick leads the Tar Heels after the program parted ways with Mack Brown, who had been the head coach for six years.
