July 2025 Max Updates: What’s New to Watch

Sinners, the terrifying and thoughtful vampire film directed by Ryan Coogler, was named ScreenCrush’s best movie of 2025 so far. Surprisingly, the original concept was a hit, grossing over $360 million globally. It’s exciting to see audiences gravitate towards a non-sequel, non-remake, or non-comic book movie!

If you missed Sinners in theaters, you’re in luck because it will start streaming on Max (formerly known as HBO Max) in July. While there aren’t a ton of new TV series lined up for the month, viewers can look forward to a new documentary series on Billy Joel titled And So It Goes.
