A Heat Advisory has been issued for various parts of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. From Sunday noon until 8 PM EDT, heat index values are expected to be as high as 103. Additionally, there is an Extreme Heat Watch in effect for Monday, with heat index values possibly rising to 107.

The affected areas include Washington County in Maryland, and Clarke, Frederick VA, Page, Shenandoah, Warren Counties in Virginia, and Berkeley and Jefferson Counties in West Virginia. The Heat Advisory will be in place from Sunday afternoon through evening, while the Extreme Heat Watch extends from Monday morning to evening.

During extreme heat, the risk of heat-related illnesses significantly rises, especially when coupled with high humidity. It is advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in cool places, avoid prolonged sun exposure, and check on family members and neighbors to ensure they are safe.
