movies, and TV shows.

Apple TV+ has just released the trailer for The Wild Ones, a captivating six-part documentary series that documents the journey of elite wildlife experts into some of the world’s most remote and challenging environments. The goal? To find, film, and protect critically endangered species. Mark your calendars for Friday, July 11, when all episodes of this exciting series will debut on Apple TV+.

The Wild Ones features an incredible team consisting of former Royal Marines Commando and expedition leader Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley, and ecological storyteller and wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet. Together, they embark on an adventure to six different countries – Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada, and Gabon – capturing rare footage of endangered species like the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale, and Western lowland gorilla.

Equipped with over 350 custom-built remote cameras, thermal drones, wearable underwater tags, and AI-powered imaging technology, the team is pushing the boundaries of wildlife filmmaking. Not only are they capturing never-before-seen animal behavior, but they are also actively supporting conservation efforts on the ground. Their discoveries have already led to identifying a new individual rhino, protecting a litter of tiger cubs, and making progress in anti-poaching initiatives.

Teaming up with local experts, the trio uses cutting-edge camera technology to uncover the hidden secrets of these rare creatures. From filming the world’s most endangered wild tiger in Malaysia’s Royal Tiger Reserve to capturing thermal night imagery of the elusive Gobi bear in Mongolia, the team’s encounters are both thrilling and heartwarming.

The Wild Ones is a production of Offspring Films, known for their BAFTA Award-nominated series Earth At Night in Color and Earthsounds. Executive produced by Alex Williamson and Isla Robertson, this series not only educates viewers about the threats these endangered species face but also highlights the critical role they play in their ecosystems. By spreading awareness and garnering support, The Wild Ones aims to contribute to the long-term conservation efforts necessary to protect these magnificent creatures.
