Apple TV+ hit a home run with “Friday Night Baseball,” topping the charts as the top promoted streaming content in April. According to Looper Insights’ Streamer of the Month Report, this baseball show scored big with a $MPV value of $5.18 million. This success highlights the increasing popularity of live sports in streaming content.
In addition to baseball, Apple TV+ also saw success with its other sports title, “Major League Soccer,” ranking fourth with a $MPV value of $4.42 million. Prime Video, however, continued its dominance in promotions, securing five titles in the top 10. Titles like “Reacher,” “The Wheel of Time,” “The Bondsman,” “Invincible,” and “Bosch: Legacy” showcased Prime Video’s strong promotional game.
Other platforms also made a mark, with Max returning strong with “The Last of Us” at number six and “The White Lotus” at number seven, with $3.51 million and $3.42 million in $MPV value, respectively. Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” also re-entered the spotlight at number eight.
When it comes to streaming apps, Prime Video reigned supreme with a colossal $MPV value of over $101 million. Tubi and The Roku Channel followed with $59.4 million and $48.7 million, respectively. These numbers showcase the intense competition in the streaming world.
