Peacock trained TikTokers for original series opportunity

Three years back, a bunch of TikTokers jumped on board with NBCUniversal’s fresh initiative to turn social media influencers into the next wave of TV show creators. Now, four of these creators are all set to roll out their very own original series on Peacock.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the new shows gearing up for debut are: “The Warehouse Phase,” cooked up by Charlie Curtis-Beard; “The Kouncil,” crafted by Katie Florence; “Older Hotter Wiser” by Serena Kerrigan; and “People Like Me” from Daren Vongirdner.

Prepare to tune in on May 19 for the big launch. It’s truly amazing how social media is offering up doors for countless young, up-and-coming creators in the Hollywood scene. With TikTok now being hailed as the “new TV,” it’s interesting to see how platforms are crossing over.
