Disney+ Price Increase in Canada: What You Need to Know

Disney+ has some big news to share with its fans! While there’s all the buzz about the worldwide Hulu launch, there’s also a quiet update on prices. According to The Canadian Press, Disney+ is set to increase its prices in Canada starting in November, with different tiers seeing different changes. Here’s the breakdown:

– Disney+ Standard with Ads remains at $8.99/month
– Disney+ Standard (ad-free) is increasing to $15.99/month (from $12.99/month)
– Disney+ Premium (ad-free) will now be $16.99/month (from $15.99/month)

These price changes went into effect for new monthly subscriptions on September 30. If you’re already subscribed on a monthly plan, expect to see the new prices reflected in your bill on or after November 4. Annual subscribers will see the changes on or after November 25. Disney had already announced a price increase in the U.S., and now Canada, the U.K., and other markets are following suit.

Last October marked the previous price increase for Disney+ in Canada, with all tiers going up by $1. This new change is the latest in a series of adjustments for the streaming service. But don’t worry, the recent launch of Hulu in Canada doesn’t bring much change for viewers. The Star section, previously home to many Hulu titles, is now just called Hulu in international markets. So, get ready for more exciting content coming your way on Disney+.
