UConn Women’s Fans Required to Pay for Full Big East Tournament Coverage: Details

UConn basketball fans, mark your calendars! The full schedules for both the men’s and women’s teams have been released, and there are some important changes to how you can watch the games this season. In case you missed it, back in June 2024, the Big East and NBC inked a six-year deal to broadcast conference games. But here’s the catch—many of these games will now be available exclusively on NBC’s Peacock streaming service.

For UConn women’s supporters, this means that the entire Big East tournament will only be shown on Peacock. That’s right, if you don’t have a subscription, you might miss out on those thrilling quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship games. On the men’s side, the conference tournament will also feature streamed games, with three first-round and two quarterfinal matchups available only on Peacock.

NBC Sports is pumped about the new lineup, calling Peacock the “exclusive home” for nearly 75 Big East games, including all 10 women’s tournament games. As a die-hard UConn fan, you’ll want to know that 15 women’s games, including key matchups and conference tilts, will be shown on Peacock this season. On the men’s side, nine games are behind the paywall, with one being simulcast on NBC.

Don’t fret just yet—Peacock subscriptions are $10.99 per month, so you can catch every dribble, dunk, and three-pointer live and in HD. Get ready for a season full of intense action and nail-biting finishes, all from the comfort of your couch. Time to gear up and stream on!
