Hyde Healy Film Debut in Hulu’s Untitled BriTANicK Pizza Movie

Hyde Healy (ABJ ’23) is set to make his film debut in Hulu’s upcoming “Untitled BriTANicK Pizza Movie,” a project by American High that he credits his degree in Entertainment and Media Studies (EMST) at Grady College for preparing him for.

Reflecting on his time at Grady College, Healy shared how a class with Laurena Bernabo inspired him, “I remember being in Dr. B’s class having to read the trades and report on articles as an assignment, so to now be featured in one is a pretty cool full circle moment,” he said, referencing an article in Variety about the new film.

Healy emphasized the importance of his experience in the Grady in LA Internship program, where he interned at Mosaic. “A manager I met there, Drew Shenfield who is actually now my manager, helped get me the opportunity that led me down the path I am on now,” he explained.

One of Healy’s favorite memories from Grady College was creating a short film named “Rancid.” He recalled the experience of making a carton of milk look disgustingly rancid by mixing green food dye and dirt, highlighting the creativity he learned to apply through practical effects.

After filming his appearance in the “Untitled BriTANicK Pizza Movie,” Healy has relocated to New York City to pursue stand-up comedy and social media, aspiring to establish a career in entertainment.

Healy’s advice to current Grady College students focused on taking action, emphasizing the importance of getting involved in practical projects and forming connections. He emphasized, “College is about learning, but just as importantly it’s about building relationships. You never know how those connections will shape your future.”

With the film set for release on Hulu in 2025, Healy is excited for audiences to experience the comedy about two college students on a quest to retrieve a pizza after taking an experimental drug that leads them on a wild journey.
