Release Date Announced for HBO Max’s New Animated Series

ght before the spin-off/sequel series plans to have a big panel at this year’s New York Comic-Con, where more information will be revealed by the showrunner and various actors involved with the series. The event will take place on Sunday, October 12th, and promises an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming season of “Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake”.

The second season of Adventure Time: Fionna And Cake will explore Fionna’s original universe in a more “grounded” approach. The return of former Ice King, Simon Petrikov, will continue to play a role in the title characters’ lives. This time, Huntress Wizard will join them for a quest to save Ooo’s favorite hero. The spin-off series promises plenty of excitement, with many questions left unanswered.

In addition to Fionna and Cake’s journey, Adventure Time has even more in store for fans. A movie was confirmed to be in the works last year, along with multiple spin-offs to expand the world of Oooo. Heyo BMO, a spin-off focusing on the robotic friend of Jake and Finn, and Adventure Time: Side Quests, which will feature both Finn and Jake in their earlier days, are just a few projects in development. There are no release dates yet, but it’s clear that Warner Bros Discovery has big plans for the Cartoon Network franchise.
