Nicole Kidman to Return for Season 3 of “Lioness” on Paramount+
Exciting news for fans of the espionage thriller Lioness! The show, created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña, has been renewed for a third season on Paramount+. This announcement comes on the heels of Kidman’s recent split from Keith Urban.
In the current season two, which is two episodes into its eight-episode run, the CIA’s fight against terror takes a more personal turn. Joe (Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) bring in a new Lioness operative to tackle a previously unknown threat. As the pressure mounts, Joe must confront the personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program.
The cast of Lioness season two includes not only Saldaña and Kidman but also Morgan Freeman, Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, and Hannah Love Lanier. Kidman’s performance earned her a 2024 Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Lioness is executive produced by a talented team including Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and more. Sheridan is a driving force behind Paramount+, with a lineup of programs that includes Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone, and the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923.
With two Academy Award winners leading the cast, high-stakes storytelling, and exclusive content, Lioness is a standout title for Paramount+. The series not only ranks in the Top 10 globally on the platform but also helps elevate its profile in the competitive streaming market.
