Peacock delays Universal docuseries debut in latest update
Peacock, the popular streaming service, is delaying the release of the highly anticipated docuseries “Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks.” Originally set to premiere in July, the three-part series is now scheduled to debut on November 17th. While it was previously pushed back to September 29th, no specific reason has been given for these schedule changes.
For those eager to get a glimpse behind the scenes, a one-hour special titled “Inside the World of Epic Universe” is currently available on Peacock.
According to a description provided by Peacock, the upcoming docuseries will feature interviews with directors, producers, executives, and celebrities. It promises to delve into Universal’s rich film and theme park history, offering an exclusive look at the upcoming opening of their innovative new theme park, Universal Epic Universe.
Epic Universe, situated about 2 miles southeast of Universal Orlando’s existing theme parks, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, officially opened on May 22nd. The promotional materials for “Epic Ride” suggest that viewers can expect appearances from notable figures like Steven Spielberg, actress Bryce Dallas Howard, and John Chu, all of whom were featured in the previous special “Inside the World of Epic Universe.”
It’s worth noting that Universal’s theme parks, Peacock, and NBC are all part of the larger Comcast corporate family. So mark your calendars for November 17th and get ready to embark on an epic journey through the history of Universal Theme Parks with “Epic Ride.”
