Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Streaming Service Subscriptions Will Increase in Cost

Get ready, streaming fans! Disney is increasing its prices once again, with most plans seeing a bump of $2 to $3. Hulu’s live TV platform is getting hit with a larger increase too.

Starting October 21, Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN standalone subscriptions, as well as bundles and Hulu’s live TV platform, will see a price increase. If you’re already subscribed to one of these plans, you’ll notice the change in your bill after October 21. New subscribers can sign up at the new rates starting on that date.

For existing Legacy subscribers with the Disney Plus Premium, Hulu, ESPN Select bundle, the monthly cost will go up to $25 from $22. And for those on the Hulu Plus Live TV legacy plan, the monthly cost is rising from $88 to $95. However, pricing will remain the same for certain subscriptions, so keep an eye on your email for any updates.

While the prices for both Disney Plus standalone plans are going up slightly, Hulu’s live TV subscriptions are getting the biggest increase. The Disney Plus support page has all the details, so check there to see if your plan is affected.

With these changes, Disney’s streaming services are aligning in price with other competitors like Peacock, Apple TV Plus, and HBO Max. And although the live TV service will be pricier than YouTube TV, it’s still more affordable than traditional cable packages, and without the long-term contracts.

So, mark your calendars for October 21 and be prepared for a bit of a change in your streaming bill!
