Disney Increasing Streaming Service Prices

Disney is making some changes that viewers should be aware of. Starting on October 21st, the prices for Disney+ and Hulu bundles will be increasing. Subscribers can expect a $2 increase for the Disney+ plan with ads, bringing it to $11.99 per month. If you prefer the ad-free experience with Disney Plus Premium, you’ll see a $3 increase to $18.99 per month.

Additionally, the ad-supported bundle of Disney+ and Hulu will go up to $12.99 from $10.99 per month. If you opt for the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select Bundle Premium, which includes ad-free Disney+ and Hulu with ad-supported ESPN+, the price will increase to $29.99 from $26.99. Notifications about these changes have already started going out.

Disney has been focusing on expanding its streaming services, recently launching an ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming service in August, which offers two different plans. Customers can choose an unlimited option for $29.99 a month or a bundle with Disney+ and Hulu for the same price for the first year.

Competition in the streaming space has been heating up, with major players like Warner Bros. Discovery, Amazon Prime, and Netflix all vying for subscribers. This has led to a trend of price increases, exclusive content, and additional features to stay competitive in the market.

So, if you’re a Disney+ or Hulu subscriber, be prepared for these upcoming changes in mid-October. Stay informed to avoid any surprises on your next billing cycle.
