New thriller by Harlan Coben featuring Peaky Blinders star releases trailer
The first trailer for the new Prime Video show Lazarus, created by Harlan Coben and Danny Brocklehurst, has just been released and it looks gripping! The trailer introduces us to Sam Claflin’s character, Joel Lazarus, who is told by a patient in a psychiatric hospital that he has been speaking with God and wants to punish Joel.
As the story unfolds, we learn that Joel’s father, Dr. Jonathan Lazarus (played by Billy Nighy), has taken his own life, leading Joel to question the circumstances of his death. He gets involved in cold-case murders and starts having visions of his father, believing that his death is somehow linked to his sister’s murder 25 years ago.
The show also stars Alexandra Roach, David Fynn, Karla Crome, and Kate Ashfield, among others. All six episodes will be released on Wednesday, October 22nd.
Fans of Sam Claflin, known for his roles in Peaky Blinders and Daisy Jones & the Six, will be excited to see him in this new series. And Coben fans will be pleased to know that this project is not based on one of his novels, but is an original concept.
After Lazarus, Netflix is set to bring us a new adaptation of one of Coben’s works, Run Away, starring James Nesbitt and others.
Lazarus will be available for streaming on Prime Video. You can even try Amazon Prime Video for free for 30 days. Be sure to add Lazarus to your watchlist for future viewing!
