New York Comic Con hosts HBO’s “IT: Welcome To Derry”

Beginning Thursday, October 9, HBO will bring fans inside the chilling world of IT: WELCOME TO DERRY with “Face Your Fears,” an immersive horror experience. Set in a nostalgic, unsettling 1960s child’s bedroom, the event makes childhood fears a reality.HBO Max will also host panels where the cast and executive producers will share an exclusive first look at the series.
New York Comic Con (NYCC) is a huge annual fan convention held in New York City that celebrates a wide range of pop culture, including comics, graphic novels, movies, TV shows, anime, manga, video games, and toys. It’s one of the largest events of its kind in North America, attracting a massive crowd of fans and industry professionals.
IT: Welcome to Derry, HBO Max
“Face Your Fears” Horror Fan Experience
HBO Max brings the “Face Your Fears” immersive horror experience, inspired by IT: Welcome to Derry, to New York Comic Con. This AI-driven activation invites guests into a deceptively idyllic home in 1960s Derry, Maine. Eerie characters and interactive elements reveal a series of personalized scares designed to bring specific childhood fears to life. The experience culminates in a frightening finale featuring the looming threat of Pennywise before guests return to reality. Fans can follow the @IT_Official social accounts for details on how to RSVP for the “Face Your Fears” horror fan experience.
However, space is limited, and reservations will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. So be sure to plan accordingly if you don’t want to miss this.
A New York Comic Con badge is required for entry to the panel and exhibition, and all guests must be 18 or older.
IT: Welcome To Derry Panel at New York Comic Con
Join the cast and creatives for an exclusive look at never-before-seen footage. There will also be a special red-band, uncensored trailer from the upcoming HBO original series IT: Welcome to Derry. Panelists include Andy Muschietti (Director, EP), Barbara Muschietti (EP), Jason Fuchs (Co-Showrunner, EP), Brad Caleb Kane (Co-Showrunner, EP), Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, and Kimberly Guerrero. Perri Nemiroff, Senior Host & Producer at Collider, will moderate the panel.
