Apple TV+ Show ‘The Studio’ Wins Best Comedy at Emmy Awards, HBO’s ‘The Pitt’ Tops…
Apple TV+ had a night to remember at the 2025 Emmy Awards, snagging an impressive total of 25 wins for its series. The Studio, a comedy series, was the star of the show with 13 awards, including the prestigious Best Comedy Series accolade. Despite a strong showing, Apple fell short in the drama category as HBO’s The Pitt walked away with the Best Drama Series Emmy, beating out Severance which had 27 nominations.
Severance still managed to nab two Emmys last night, bringing its total count to 8, including victories from the Creative Arts Emmys. Britt Lower, who plays Helly R., took home the Lead Actress in a Drama award, and Tramell Tillman, portraying Mr. Milchick, won for Supporting Actor in a Drama.
The Studio’s success continued with Seth Rogen winning the Best Comedy Actor award, as well as snagging wins with Evan Goldberg for Best Directing and Best Writing in a Comedy Series. In the end, The Studio raked in 13 wins, the highest tally for any show in any category this season.
The achievements didn’t stop there. Director Adam Randall was recognized for Best Directing of a Drama Series for his work on Slow Horses. When it comes to performance by platform, Apple TV+ secured 22 wins, landing in third place behind Netflix and HBO who tied for first with 30 wins each.
Notable guests at the ceremony included Apple CEO Tim Cook and SVP Eddy Cue, being there to cheer on the Apple TV+ team. Cook even got a shoutout from Rogen for his unwavering support during The Studio’s winning speeches.
