Peacock Confirms 2025 Horror Sequel Streaming Soon: Get Ready for Controversial Thrills

Peacock is gearing up to give subscribers a treat by adding two major movies from 2025 to its streaming lineup. First up is the live-action How to Train Your Dragon, set to debut in October. But that’s not all – the highly anticipated horror sequel, M3GAN 2.0, is also making its way to Peacock, hitting the platform a couple of weeks before the dragons take flight.

M3GAN 2.0 has stirred up some controversy in the horror community for taking a completely different direction than its predecessor. Rather than sticking to the formula that made the original a hit, this sequel feels more like an action-packed entry in an alternate universe Terminator franchise. While this creative choice left audiences and critics divided, the film’s box office performance paled in comparison to its predecessor.

After raking in over $181 million at the box office, M3GAN 2.0 fell short with just over $39 million in ticket sales during its theatrical run. But with its upcoming release on Peacock, the sequel has a chance to find a bigger audience and make a lasting impression.

Peacock is building up its horror movie library just in time for the Halloween season. The streaming service has already added a slew of terrifying titles, including classics like The Birds, Halloween II, and Psycho. And the horror lineup will only get better in the coming months, with plans to add more spine-chilling films like Friday the 13th, Ghostbusters, and Shaun of the Dead.
