2025 MTV Video Music Awards: Live Broadcast, Cable & Streaming Options
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards are here, and this year, it’s all about CBS stepping up to broadcast the show for the first time. Not only that, but MTV, its cable sibling, will also be showing all the action live from New York City’s UBS Arena. And if you’re a cord-cutter, don’t worry, there are streaming options available too!
To catch the 2025 MTV VMAs live, tune in tonight, Sunday, September 7, at 8/7c on CBS or MTV for a simultaneous broadcast. If you’re keen on checking out the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards Pre-Show, hosted by Kevan Kenney and Nessa, make sure to tune in at 7/6c on MTV.
For streaming enthusiasts, Paramount+ is your go-to. Subscribers to the Paramount+ Premium plan can livestream the show by accessing the live feed of their local CBS affiliate or opt for the on-demand option. Essential subscribers on Paramount+ can catch the show on-demand starting tomorrow, Monday, September 8.
If you’re using other streaming services that offer MTV in their package, you can check out FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or Sling TV’s Blue package with MTV, according to CBS News. The lineup this year is impressive with LL Cool J set to host and Mariah Carey receiving the Video Vanguard Award. And let’s not forget the star-studded performances from YUNGBLUD, Nuno Bettencourt, and a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith.
The nominations this year are led by Lady Gaga, followed closely by Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar. With Taylor Swift and Beyoncé up for Artist of the Year, it could be a tie-breaker moment as both artists have 30 Video Music Awards each. Unfortunately, Swift won’t be attending the VMAs according to E! News, so we’re waiting to see if Queen Bey will grace us with her presence.
Don’t miss the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards for an unforgettable night of music and celebration! It’s all happening tonight, Sunday, September 7, at 8/7c on CBS, MTV, and Paramount+. Enjoy the show!
