Philadelphia Union to Host U.S. Men’s National Team Match at Subaru Park on November 15

Exciting news for soccer fans! The Philadelphia Union just announced that Subaru Park will be the host venue for the U.S. Men’s National Team on Saturday, November 15. They’ll be facing off against Paraguay in a match presented by Allstate. The game is set for 5 p.m. ET and will be shown on national broadcasts including TNT, HBO Max, Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, and Westwood One Sports (radio).

The last time the USMNT played at Subaru Park was seven years ago, and it’s a special place for players like Josh Sargent, Tim Weah, and Walker Zimmerman, who scored their first international goals there back in 2018. Fun fact: seven players from the Gold Cup roster actually came through the Union academy.

The USMNT has a pretty good record against Paraguay at 4W-2L-2D. The last time they played, the USA came out on top with a 1-0 victory in 2018. That match was significant because it was the first time 2000s-born player Tim Weah made an appearance for the team, and Zack Steffen got his first shutout. But the history between these teams goes way back to the very first FIFA World Cup in 1930, where the USA won 3-0 and Bert Patenaude scored the first hat-trick in the championship.

This upcoming match isn’t the first time the teams will meet in the Philadelphia area. In 2016, Clint Dempsey scored his 51st international goal in a 1-0 win that helped the USMNT secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Copa America Centenario. And if you’re looking for more soccer action, the USMNT will also be playing against Uruguay on November 18 in Tampa.

Tickets for both matches will go on sale to the public on Thursday, September 11 at 10 a.m. local venue time. And for those who want early access, there will be a presale starting on Monday, September 8 at 10 a.m. local venue time. If you’re a U.S. Soccer Insider or a Visa cardholder, you may have special access to ticket purchases before the general public.

So mark your calendars and get ready to cheer on the USMNT in these exciting matches!
