2025 Guest Actor in Comedy Emmy Winners: Bryan Cranston, Julianne Nicholson
Bryan Cranston and Julianne Nicholson took home the top honors for best comedy guest actor and actress at the recent Creative Arts Emmys. Cranston’s win came for his role as Continental CEO Griffin Mill in the quirky Hollywood comedy series, “The Studio,” created by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. It’s worth noting that “The Studio” received a total of five out of six nominations for best guest actor in a comedy, making it a strong contender in this category.
Nicholson’s well-deserved win was for her portrayal of Dance Mom in the fourth season of the HBO comedy, “Hacks.” In her acceptance speech, she expressed her gratitude to the creators of the show for writing such a compelling character, one that took her by surprise. She also playfully embraced being one of the “creative arts baddies,” a reference to Maya Rudolph’s lively introduction at the awards show.
Competing in the best guest actress in a comedy category alongside Nicholson were fellow “Hacks” star Robby Hoffman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Coleman from “The Bear,” Cynthia Erivo from “Poker Face,” and Zoë Kravitz from “The Studio.” With 23 Emmy nominations under its belt this year, “The Studio” is clearly making waves in the television industry. It’s exciting to see such talented actors recognized for their exceptional work in the world of comedy.
