Netflix Allows Sharing Clips from Favorite Shows and Movies

Netflix has introduced a new update to its Moments feature, allowing users to share clips from their favorite shows and movies. This update coincides with the release of the second half of season two of Wednesday. Moments, introduced last year, gives Netflix users the ability to bookmark specific points in a show to share with friends or easily revisit favorite scenes.

With this update, users can now define both a start and end point for scenes, creating shareable clips from the content they are watching. Although the release is associated with Wednesday, Netflix is also highlighting KPop Demon Hunters in its announcement.

Netflix has emphasized the popularity of Moments with its users, citing examples like Wednesday Addams’s dance moves and the debut of Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” track in KPop Demon Hunters as memorable and highly shared moments. Fans appreciate the ability to save and relive these scenes that have resonated with them.

The new capability to share specific sections of a video as a clip is a significant enhancement, providing a way to give context and meaning when sharing content with others. Users can now create full clips by setting a starting and ending point for scenes they love, saving and sharing them to enjoy at any time.

To use this feature, simply tap the “Clip” button while watching on mobile, adjust where the scene ends, and save the clip to your “My Netflix” tab for easy access. This feature allows for customization, letting you choose the length of the clip to suit your preferences.
