Each season will focus on different time periods, starting with 1962 in the first season, followed by 1935 in the second season, and finally 1908 in the third season.
Fans can also look forward to a return of Bill Skarsgard as the iconic Pennywise. Skarsgard expressed his enthusiasm for revisiting the character and teased that viewers can expect a darker and more intense portrayal of Pennywise in the series. The show also boasts an impressive cast, including Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, and James Remar.
“It: Welcome to Derry” is produced by HBO Max and Warner Bros. Television, with Jason Fuchs and Brad Caleb Kane serving as co-showrunners. Andy Muschietti will direct four episodes of the series, including the premiere episode.
