Noah Wyle Thought Emmy Win Was Unattainable Before ‘The Pitt’ Nomination

Noah Wyle has recently been nominated for two Emmy Awards for his role in the HBO Max series, The Pitt, and he couldn’t be more thrilled. At 54 years old, Wyle expressed to PEOPLE how overwhelmed he feels by this recognition, especially since it has been 26 years since his last Emmy nomination for ER.

Wyle shared his gratitude with John Wells, his fellow executive producer on ER and The Pitt, crediting Wells as the “true godfather” of both shows. He expressed his desire to continue working under Wells’ mentorship for as long as possible.

Despite the time that has passed since his last Emmy nod, Wyle embraces the experience of being a veteran actor on The Pitt, surrounded by a new generation of talented performers. He described it as a sweet moment to witness their rise in the industry.

The first season of The Pitt garnered a total of 13 Emmy nominations, with Wyle and his castmates celebrating their success and the recognition they received across various categories. Wyle expressed his joy that the nominations reflected the hard work and dedication of the entire team.

As fans eagerly await the premiere of season 2 of The Pitt on HBO Max in January, Wyle remains grateful for the recognition he has received and is looking forward to the 77th Emmy Awards where his work will be celebrated once again.
