Hulu Orders Foster Dade Pilot by Greg Berlanti and Bash Doran

Hulu has given the green light to a pilot for the exciting new series “Foster Dade,” created by Greg Berlanti and Bash Doran and based on Nash Jenkins’ novel. The show promises to delve into a thrilling mystery set in an East Coast boarding school, exploring themes of privilege, scandal, sexuality, and masculinity against the backdrop of social media, millennial anxieties, and pharmaceuticals.

Berlanti and Doran are not only the writers but also the executive producers of “Foster Dade,” which is being produced by Warner Bros. TV. They are joined by a team of additional executive producers including Jenkins, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Robbie Rogers, and Donald De Line.

Berlanti, known for his work on shows like “Found,” “All American,” “You,” and “Superman & Lois,” would make a return to TV writing with “Foster Dade” if the pilot gets picked up for a full series. Meanwhile, Doran, who has an impressive list of credits including “Life After Life” and “Masters of Sex,” is working on new projects like the movie “Henry” and an adaptation of “Witness for the Prosecution.”

In addition to “Foster Dade,” Hulu has also ordered series like “Phony” and a new NFL drama created by Dan Fogelman. Berlanti is represented by CAA, while Doran is represented by UTA, Untitled Entertainment, and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham LLP.

This promises to be an intriguing and engaging series that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, blending mystery, drama, and social commentary into a compelling narrative.
