The Paper to Release All Episodes on Peacock

Surprise! All ten episodes of The Paper will now drop on September 4 instead of following the originally planned weekly schedule. The documentary crew that brought us the iconic Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the Emmy Award-winning series “The Office” has found a new subject to explore – a historic Midwestern newspaper and its publisher working to revive it. Excitingly, Oscar Nuñez is back in action, reprising his role as Oscar Martinez from The Office alongside a fresh ensemble cast including Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young, and Tim Key.

In a recent interview, Creed Bratton expressed his enthusiasm for the spin-off, sharing that he’ll definitely be tuning in. He even gave a nod to Domnhall Gleason, highlighting his performance in “Ex Machina” as a standout. When asked about a cameo, Bratton mentioned he wasn’t aware of any plans but would have loved to be a part of it, reminiscing about a previous experience on Greg Daniels’ show where he played a character with quite the dramatic ending.

Brian Baumgartner, who portrayed Kevin Malone in The Office, is also looking forward to The Paper’s release. He praised the trailer for its engaging and familiar “Office-looking” feel and expressed openness to any opportunities for involvement in the spin-off. The creative team behind the new series includes Greg Daniels and Michael Koman as co-creators, co-showrunners, and executive producers, with support from additional executive producers like Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, and Banijay Americas. Daniels also takes on the role of directing the first episode, adding to the anticipation surrounding the show’s premiere on Peacock.
