Jake Paul vs Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis Exhibition Fight Set for November on Netflix
Jake Paul’s next big event is coming up, and it’s set to be a real showdown. The YouTuber-turned-boxer will be stepping into the ring with Gervonta “Tank” Davis for an exhibition match at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on November 14th.
Netflix will be the host for this major event, just as they were for Paul’s previous fight with Mike Tyson. With a boxing record of 12-1 and seven knockouts under his belt, Paul is not holding back on the pre-fight banter. He’s already started talking trash on X, saying, “Gervonta has been disrespecting my name for too long. His nickname might be Tank, but I’m an FPV drone, and I’m about to disable this tiny boy. Yes, he’s a top pound-for-pound boxer, but my motto is anyone, anytime, anyplace, against all odds. And I like my odds. First, I am going to take down David, then I will go on to defeat Goliath.”
The term “Goliath” likely refers to Anthony Joshua, the British pro who is a two-time heavyweight champion. While discussions between Paul and Joshua fell through due to network issues, the focus is now on the upcoming match with Davis. Davis, who has never lost a fight, faced controversy in his last bout with Lamont Roach in March, resulting in a draw that included a controversial moment in the ninth round.
Paul’s most recent fight was against Julio César Chávez Jr. in June, where he emerged victorious by unanimous decision in California. This win gave him a ranking with the World Boxing Association (WBA) and he debuted as the No. 14 contender in the cruiserweight division. As both fighters gear up for November, the difference in weight classes will be a significant storyline to watch, as Paul is at least 50 pounds heavier than the 5-foot-5 Davis.
In addition to this exciting match-up, Netflix will also be hosting a bout between Canelo Álvarez and Terence Crawford on September 13. These two fighters are considered some of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the sport, making it a must-watch event for boxing fans. Stay tuned for more updates on this upcoming fight at FOXNEWS.COM.
