WWE’s Transition from Peacock to ESPN: Everything You Need to Know
WWE is making a big move by shifting its Premium Live Events (PLEs) exclusively to ESPN starting September 20, 2025. The first event under this new partnership, Wrestlepalooza, marks the beginning of this exciting change.
If you want to catch all WWE action on ESPN, you’ll need to subscribe to the ESPN Unlimited plan for $29.99/month. This plan not only includes WWE content but also all ESPN channels and major sports coverage. You can sign up for ESPN Unlimited on their website or through the ESPN app.
If you’re already a subscriber to ESPN through select providers like DirecTV, Hulu + Live TV, Charter, FuboTV, or Verizon Fios, you can authenticate through your provider to access ESPN’s streaming service with WWE content at no additional cost. Please note that YouTube TV and Xfinity do not offer this feature for WWE PLEs.
For those who sign up for ESPN Unlimited, you’ll get coverage of all major WWE events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank included in your subscription without any additional pay-per-view charges. Additionally, there’s an introductory bundle available for $39.99/month that includes ESPN Unlimited, Hulu, and Disney+.
While most WWE content moves to ESPN, Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) will stream exclusively on Peacock with four special events per year, starting on November 1 and December 13, with a retirement match featuring John Cena.
For WWE fans, this means keeping track of multiple platforms to catch all the action. From ESPN Unlimited for main roster Premium Live Events, Peacock for SNME, Netflix for WWE Raw starting in January 2025, USA Network for SmackDown, and CW for weekly NXT programming, the wrestling landscape is now spread across different streaming services.
Exciting events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and more will now be on ESPN, while SNME will be exclusive to Peacock. Despite these shifts, the Netflix deal covering WWE Raw and international WWE content remains unaffected. So, WWE fans might need to juggle a few subscriptions to stay up-to-date on all the wrestling excitement now dispersed across various streaming platforms.
