Apple TV+ Price Increase Starting Today

Apple TV+ is making some changes, folks! As of today, August 21, the monthly price for new subscribers is going up to $12.99 from $9.99. Existing customers will see this increase reflected in their bill within the next 30 days.

But hey, if you’re an annual subscriber, no need to worry – the cost will remain at $99.99. And for those bundled up with Apple One, starting at $19.95 per month, the price is staying put too. This price adjustment isn’t just for the U.S. though, as select international markets will also be affected.

This isn’t the first time Apple TV+ has raised its prices. Back in October 2023, the cost went up $3 from $6.99 to $9.99 per month. So, what do you get for the extra bucks? Well, fans of Friday Night Baseball will need to find a new home for their game nights, as Apple is parting ways with MLB. But fear not, soccer enthusiasts can still catch the MLS Season Pass!

Looking ahead, the fan-favorite Ted Lasso is gearing up for a fourth season, and The Morning Show just dropped its trailer for the upcoming season. Apple TV+ continues to draw in viewers with its focus on original content, boasting a subscriber base of over 45 million in 2024. However, recent reports suggest that Apple is facing hefty losses of over $1 billion each year due to the high production costs of its content.

So, is the higher price tag worth it for subscribers? Only time will tell. But hey, with exciting shows on the horizon, Apple TV+ is clearly aiming to keep us entertained!
