New Horror Movie Pulled From Theaters, Paramount+ Premiere Date Announced
A spooky movie that was supposed to hit theaters soon is changing course and heading straight to streaming instead.
Originally planned for a theatrical release, the horror film Vicious, starring Dakota Fanning, will now be debuting on Paramount Pictures’ streaming service, Paramount+.
Directed by Bryan Bertino, known for his work on the 2008 film The Strangers, Vicious also features Kathryn Hunter, Mary McCormack, Rachel Blanchard, Devyn Nekoda, Klea Scott, and Emily Mitchell. While not much is known about the plot, it revolves around Fanning’s character receiving a mysterious gift that transports her to a different world.
Although the film won’t be hitting many theaters, it is set to premiere at the Fantastic Fest next month, showcasing other horror films like Paramount’s Primate, Universal’s The Black Phone 2, and a reboot of The Strangers series.
Fans can catch Vicious on Paramount+ starting October 10th.
