Netflix Redesigned Interface Rolled Out on Apple TV

Netflix has rolled out its redesigned interface for Apple TV, marking the end of a months-long rollout that started earlier this year. The new version 3.0 of the app is now available, featuring a sleek and modern design aimed at putting content front and center.

The redesigned interface showcases a new home page with a top menu bar that includes options like Search, Home, Shows, Movies, Games, and My Netflix. The My List and My Netflix sections have been combined to make it easier for users to access their personal content.

One of the standout features of the new design is the larger, clearer display of the featured program on the home screen, presented in a distinct card format. As users scroll through content, they will notice that static tiles for TV shows and movies have been replaced with dynamic tiles that expand to provide more information, like trailers and descriptions.

Recommendations have also been revamped in the new interface, with Netflix promising more personalized content suggestions based on each user’s viewing history. The addition of contextual labels like “Recent addition” and “No. 3 in movies” provides users with more context about why certain content is being recommended.

To access the updated Netflix interface on Apple TV, users will need to have tvOS 17 or later installed. While the redesign was announced back in May, users may need to manually update the app through the App Store on their Apple TV to see the new changes, as the update is not automatic for all users.

On iOS devices, Netflix is currently testing a generative AI search feature that allows users to search for shows and movies using conversational language. This feature is available as a small, opt-in beta.

Overall, the redesign of Netflix’s interface for Apple TV brings a fresh look and improved functionality to the popular streaming platform, enhancing the user experience for subscribers.
